MRS. JAMES W. LAHMON

Mrs. Nellie M. Lahmon, 74, widow of James W. Lahmon, resident of 136 W. Orchard St., admitted to Newark Hospital Aug. 12, died there at 7:25 p.m. Thursday. She had been in failing health for some time and seriously ill more than two weeks.

Mrs. Lahmon, a retired practical nurse, came to Newark 10 years ago from Utica. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Smith) Rockwell, born July 10, 1884 in Knox County.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1935, and she leaves a son Earl Lahmon of Maple City, Mich.; also five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Flora of Lima; four brothers, Clyde and Robert Rockwell of Mt. Vernon, Sharon Rockwell of Flint, Mich., and John Rockwell of Ft. Wayne, Ind. A sister, Mrs. Hattie Beckholt is deceased. Mrs. Lahmon was a member of the Christian Church of Utica.

The body is at Criss Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph A. Garshaw will officiate at services there at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be made in Fairview Cemetery, Brandon. Friends May call at the funeral home.

JAMES LAHMON DIES IN UTICA
Long Illness Brings Death at His Home This Morning

Utica, Dec. 3. - James Lahmon died at 5:13 this morning in his home in North Central avenue, following a long illness. Death was due to complications of diseases. Mr. Lahmon, a resident of Utica for a number of years, was employed as chauffeur for the late Dr. A. E. Smith. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Lahmon; a son Earl of Detroit and several brothers, one of whom is Hugh Lahmon of near Utica. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in charge of Rev. C. C. Smith. Burial is in Fairview cemetery by the C. C. Law company
